The Protennoia and Life

About The Protennoia

Protennoia means First Thought in ancient Greek. Ancient texts describe Protennoia as the First Though from the All (also called the One, the One Thing, Divine Oneness, the Source and the Virgin Spirit). Protennoia also has many names, including Barbēlo and The Mother-Father (because she/it brought forth the Autogenes androgynously [with no consort]).

How long does it take to manifest what I want?

Manifestation is an alignment of your feelings, intentions, and actions. Through visual, verbal, mental, and emotional repetition (what we continually think about with intensity and passion) we manifest our Lives every day. Through this repetition our brains create the neural pathways (because our brains have plasticity) that increase our ability to succeed in our intentions. Thus, the more you go through the motions and emotions in your mind, the more you start manifesting.

As to how long it takes to manifest what you think you want, that is a difficult question to answer. Many think to some extent it depends on what you have set up for your Life—in other words, your fate and your destiny. It has taken your entire Life of thinking a feeling what you want and what you do not want to be where you are today. How long will it take for you to change your Life into what you want? What are you willing to do to change? What motivating factors are there for you to change your Life?

The stronger your desire to change and the more persistent you are in working toward that change, the faster you will get what you want. Meditation is a great way to gain insight into what you need to do in order to create the change you want, to achieve what you want. And, to keep yourself motivated to producing the positive change in your Life to attain your desires. The 15-minute daily meditation is a powerful tool in helping you motivate yourself and keeping focused on your goals.

When should I meditate? How long should I meditate?

Daily meditation is a proven way to lower blood pressure, improve your mood, reduce stress and depression (lowers cortisol levels in the brain), become more productive, and improve your relationships. Many people meditate several times a day—it does not need to be a sitting/still meditation; it can be meditation in motion.

In general, it's best to set up a time daily for your meditations (morning meditations are a great way to start your day on a positive step!) and schedule it. Avoid meditation that fills you with energy prior to bed time, as this can make it hard to fall asleep—a relaxing meditation is best at night.

You can meditate for five minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, or longer. There are free meditations on TheProtennoia.com (including a powerful daily 15-minute meditation and a 30-minute basic daily meditation) for your use—and you can share them freely! Download and use the Guided Meditations on TheProtennoia.com as often as you feel the need or want to. I have used them several times a day—in particular the 3-minute relaxation and 5-minute stress reduction meditations.

What is meditation in motion? What different types of meditation are there?

There are still meditations (where you sit in quiet meditation), chanting (where you voice a mantra, or repetitive phrase or series of phrases), and meditations in motion (where you use mudras or hand and body movements). You can turn almost anything physical into a meditation in motion if you bring mindfulness to it—cleaning the house, raking leaves, writing on the computer, playing a sport, building something, walking or hiking, and so on. When you are aware of your motions, your breathing, and your surroundings continuously, that is a meditation in motion.

Will meditation help with my mental or physical condition?

Any meditation is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical or mental diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified medical professional or other qualified health provider regarding any medical or mental condition of which you have a concern.

Meditation has shown positive results in reducing stress-related illness, high blood pressure, and cholesterol; relieving depression; improving sleep; strengthening the immune system; improving/refining instincts and intuition; increasing creativity; and more. Another site describes the benefits of meditation and neurofeedback, citing various studies going back decades.

Is there an App for TheProtennoia.com?

An App is being developed for Android and iPhone smartphones. Notification will be sent out via social media when they are available for download.

What are meditation breathing techniques?

Breath and breathing have always been integral to meditation. While there are many different techniques for reducing stress through breathing, the meditations on TheProtennoia.com use two: deep breathing in through your nose and out your mouth, and breathing solely through your nose.

Can I give these guided meditations away?

Outside of the free meditations, no, please do not give away the meditations you purchase.

Ask yourself: Would you want to work very hard to produce something only to have people not appreciate your effort, take your product and not pay for what is created? Do you walk into any store and simply walk out with what you want without paying? Is that ethical?

All Guided Meditations on TheProtennoia.com are copyrighted and the music is licensed. Please do not give away the Guided Meditations that are for sale on this or any other site. The artists who create the music have worked many hours to produce the beautiful music for these meditations. The voiceover for the Guided Meditations took many long hours to create, record, and produce. What do you think is right?

What good is chanting? How do I chant?

Chanting is a very powerful way of going deep into meditation and communicating with the the Divine, and has many benefits. Many people chant to a specific buddha, saint, their vision of god, or other divine entity; others to the Universe or nothing at all. Chanting is a repetitive mantra—saying or singing of a word or phrase—a spiritual practice that helps you develop spiritually.

For many years I never understood chanting or what good it was for—until I chanted for the first time! It was a powerful experience that changed the course of my meditations.

Chanting is natural for Humans, and for many thousands of years chanting has been used in communal, cultural, spiritual, and religious settings in almost all societies. Almost all of us have chanted unconsciously during our lives. Many times children will beat out a rhythm or say the same things repetitively for a long period of time; that is a type of chanting. Many songs written over the decades and centuries repeat the same words and/or rhythm throughout the song; another type of chanting.

Are there chants available on The Protennoia site?

At this time, there are no chants on TheProtennioa.com. There are many chants you can find from other sources: Six Syllable Mantra (Ong ma ni bei mei hong), the Medicine Buddha's Mantra (Dei yan ta, ong Bei Kan Zei, Bei Kan Zei, ma ha Bei Kan Zei. Ran za sa mo, ga dei so ha.), Guan Shi Yin Pusa Mantra (Namo Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa), Shijiamoni (Sakyamuni) Buddha Chant (Namo ben shi Shijiamoni fo), and many more.
